One of a Kind handmade jewelry art began as many businesses do with friends enjoying a Wisconsin summer evening and talking about one of their passions--making one of a kind jewelry.  As we continued to add logs to the fire and our boyfriends and husbands had gone to sleep, we continued talking about working together to secure precious and semi-precous gemstones and other jewelry making items.

It seemed each one of us had a very specific talent and source for these items!

The One of a Kind name came about from that evening since it is how we all described our jewelry. Some of us create anew, others of us upcycle from antique and vintage jewelry, some of us may be inspired by jewelry from 1000's of years ago, others of us find inspiration from the moon shining on the lake as we keep adding to the fire.

Dawn came and we had created the logo, our mission statement and a new company we can all enjoy.  We can now share our love of real stones and their healing properties and just plain beauty.  Enjoy!
